Leadership
While in Tallahassee, I took roles that represented both myself as a person and as a UCF student. This meant that good character and setting examples for other was a neccesity. Of course, I have practiced being a leader before this program, but completed this program with elevated skills which I brought home back with me.

Representative Plasencia
While interning with Representative Plasencia, I assisted with bills in her district office prior to the Session in Tallahassee, and then continued on to monitor phone calls, making fellow representative and constituent connections, bill comparision, tracking and research, and any other roles that were asked of me.
Representative Tomkow
While interning with Representative Tomkow, I assisted with time frames of meetings, data entry, constituent interactions, and many other duties. I am truly inspired by the dedication and expereince that she had towards her work. I am very glad to have been able to work with her and her Legislative Aid.

Continued Legacy
The experience of interning at the Capitol was a highly memorable and incomparable one. The mentors of the program and their connections are highly appreciated, and have my upmost respect. I do, and continue to plan to, come back to assist the program and their upcoming Legislative Scholars in their coming years to help the Legislative Session.
Dedication
Ever since my middle school, I have volunteered in many different programs. I have 300+ hours of volunteering in the Orlando Science Center, and over 500+ hours in volunteering in the Orange County Teen Court.
